OEM & Tier 1 Experience

OEM: Led vehicle assembly operations at Toyota.  Led vehicle assembly launch team. Played a key role in the launch of the Toyota’s first hybrid vehicle manufacturing outside of Japan.

Tier 1: At JCI (now Adient, Gentex, Delphi, Clarios, Yanfeng), worked in multiple executive roles in finance, product improvement, engineering, business development, supply chain and operations – in Japan and in Michigan.  Led commercial negotiations with OEMs, Tier 2/3/4 suppliers and competitor on complex vehicle seat set design and supply chain agreements.  In most vehicles, the seats are the most expensive components of the vehicle and have complex bill of materials that involve metal structures, mechatronics, safety airbags, electronics, urethane foam, seat covers, and thermal comfort (e.g. fans, seat heaters).   

Tier 1 Executive roles as President, COO, CFO, CEO – have led multiple Tier 1 design responsible suppliers, more recently in power electronics, software, and driver monitoring.
