At ATC, our business is helping your business succeed in a very specific way – improving your processes to identify and deliver greater value via process and product improvement.
ATC was founded in 2017 by Derrick Redding. He has had a unique path that started in manufacturing leadership roles at Fel-Pro and Toyota. Later, he moved into roles in finance, cost reduction, product development, business development, and innovation. In C-level roles, he successfully reorganized businesses to eliminate waste that led to improved products, processes, and profit. He coaches others to see waste, take ownership and improve these processes.
Derrick has an undergraduate degree in Physics and Economics from Beloit College, an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Master of Engineering in Logistics from MIT.
As a firm dedicated to improvement, we understand how to transform an organization to be successful at “engineering profit.” From broad experience in different departments and executive leadership roles, we understand how organizational objectives become constrained and sub-optimized. We understand how to make significant improvements.
Project Success Stories
“Derrick implemented a lean process across all of our sites and HQ. He provided structure, organization, leadership, and hands-on coaching to get it started. I was really impressed by how well the organization responded to Derrick’s passion and enthusiasm for improvement. Derrick explained the cost reduction process in a way that could be easily comprehended and implemented by each department manager using lean tools. Many people appreciated how much they learned and could contribute to process improvement. We have operated this cost reduction process for a few years with great results.” – Division Financial Controller
